This is a true story In 1923 there was a terrible fire in Covaleda, 93 houses were destroyed by the worst fire ever seen. the fire was started by a careless man who was handling a candle in the attic of his house and was drunk, the man´s daugther called the neighbours and and a lot of people went to help them but the flames spread very quickly , the fountain ran out of water and the river was quite far away from the village when the fire brigade arrived it was already too late.
Everyone was devastated so after a few meetings and talks they decided to rebuild the houses helping each other.
