welcome back

It has been a busy week: the school´s party last Saturday and the" bachillerato" farewell both events very successful.

On Saturday, the trekking was fine but while we were having the lovely " bocata de tortilla" it started raining and we got wet. Lunch was great, "the caldereta " was very tasty but we didn´t have any knives to cut down the meat and that was a bit of a disaster mainly for young children.
We think people enjoyed the games and the barbacue.

Yesterday, the farewell ceremony to " bachillerato" was very good, the pupils were in formal clothes and they looked great, the mass was touching and the academic ceremony was moving and we all felt in between sad and happy. To finish with we had fine food , and the pupils ,their families and the teachers we all enjoyed a nice evening together.

Hi there,

I just want to remind you that next saturday 24th, we are having a school party so everybody is invited to enjoy and share some time together. As you know in the morning at 10 o´clock we are doing some trekking around San Saturio with a break for a sandwich, afterwards at 1 o´clock a mass.

In the afternoon lunch, for lunch we are having stew" caldereta" and after lunch all kind of games for different ages; At seven in the evening a big barbacue.

I know you enjoyed a lot in the "catapan" even though it was wet and it rained. Form now on lot of exams and work to be done, don´t be lazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we know that with the good weather it´s sometimes hard to sit down study but it has to be done.
People from 3º E.S.O are in Burgos today, they are on literary tour "ruta del Cid" I think they are going to have a good time as they are having warm dry weather and the landscape is beautiful at this time of the year, spring is here.

bank holiday wekend

we are going to have the last bank holiday weekend of the term so charge your batteries, after that exams, projects and a lot of work to be done before the endof the term. In the anglo countries all the bank holidays are on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! boring ..........................

On Sunday is the so called " catapan" so take it easy and have a good time.

It would be nice if you wrote something for us, I don´t think you are very busy at the moment. we hope you got good marks in your exams.Hope you enjoyed the English books we have been reading recently and if any comments please let us know.If you can recommend any book or film we´ll be delighted to get that kind of information.

we are back

I hope you enjoyed your holidays , you are full of energy and ready for the last term. we know that 1º de bachillerato enjoyed their trip to Paris they loved the Eiffeld tower, Versalles, the Seine and Disneyworld most. They loved their nights at the hotel and being away from home. they couldn´t buy many things as Paris was very expensive, food was o.k. but I´m afraid they prefer Spanish food.

Easter is here !!!!!

They are back from Paris and I believe they had a good time in spite of the weather, it was cold and rainy. hopefully they will tell us all about paris after easter.

Last week the intercultural week was held and I think we all enjoyed quite a lot , I must said that I really enjoyed the party on Thursday, there were a lot of people and the food was delicious I tried things I had never tasted before, to my surprise they were very tasty.

So it´s holiday time and we need a rest, so enjoy and remember it´s easter time to think too.

We think that " campaña contra el hambre" has been quite successful, we got 335 euros from "bocatas". The Spanish omelette "bocatas" were very popular and the queues were quite long to get one.

Next week, we are having the intercultural week, it´s full of events so we hope you´ll take part in them and enjoy . Remember any comments, ideas, suggestions ....................are all welcome.

We are having " la campaña contra el hambre" at the moment we are selling "bocatas " and we are doing quite well, people are colaborating so we hope to get some money to help people in need.

Some of the posters made by some students (3º E.S.O.) we must say they are very nice and creative.

Campaña contra el hambre

from the 25th to 29th of February we are going to have " la campaña contra el hambre" this campaing is organised by 3º E.S.O. and the money we got will be given to" manos Unidas ". I suppossed you all know this money is given to people in need, so our colaboration is important for them and for us.
This year the campaing is a bit different because we will be selling "bocatas de chorizo ó salchichón" for five days. they will be sold during the breaks in the room where the machine for food and drinks is . You can buy your "bocata" for 1 euro or a "bocata" and a bottle of water for 1.30 . We hope to get a lot of money so that we can bring some hapiness to people in need

St Valentine

Hi there,

I supposse you all know St Valentine is big deal in America, U.K and Ireland, the shops are full with all kind of presents , you are suppossed to give to your Valentine: perfums, jewellery, teddy bears you named it and it´s there; but the main stars are cards, some people may get quite a few. In Spain, fortunately it´s not very big yet.

I have been told that the movie " Axterix en los juegos olímpicos " is quite good, and I have seen " los crimenes de Oxford" and it´s not worth it, may on t.v.

" la semana intercultural" it´s from 10 to 14 of March and we´d like to get all your cooperation. Thank you

"jueves lardero"

We have been told that people from 4º E.S.O. enjoyed a lot last weekend, now we are getting ready for the well-known "jueves lardero" which is a Soria tradition. a few years ago it was just an afternoon out somewhere around Soria, where friends met to enjoy "chorizo y huevo" ; nowdays is getting bigger among the youngers, and they spend the whole day out eating and having fun

Viva, viva St Thomas

Hi there,

As you all know St Thomas is known all over the world. St Thomas is the patron saint of students. This day is specilly celebrated in Soria and for 4º E.S.O it´s very important for them because it marks the beginning of adulthood.

We´ll all enjoy the speech, the songs and the performances . We hope the experince will be unforgetable and full of lovely memories for pupils in 4º.

We are all back now and the Chirstmas holidays seem far away now. however we are full of energy and ready for" St Thomas " , as you know this is an important date for " 4º E.S.O.". they´ll be "tunos" for a few days , and the school and the streets of soria will have an atmosphere because they will be full of music and good humour.
I hope you will all take part in the activities which are being organised , so that we can have a very enjoyable and memorable day.
